Shailesh Vara, Member of Parliament for North West Cambridgeshire, has visited the headquarters of telecommunications business Magdalene Ltd in St. Ives.

During his visit to Magdalene’s HQ in the Compass Point Business Park, Mr Vara received a briefing on the company’s work and also took a tour of the offices to learn more about the business. He met with Mr Anthony Crane, Managing Director, Mr Roy Cooper, Director, and Mr Mark Turner, Finance Director of the company which employs some 250 people.

Mr Vara said:
“I very much enjoyed visiting Magdalene’s HQ and learning more about the business. It has grown significantly in recent years and I am keen to explore further opportunities for local employment.

“It is always good to see businesses doing well in Huntingdonshire and this is particularly the case with Magdalene.”

Mr Crane also said:

“We are delighted that Mr Shailesh Vara visited us. Magdalene has had its head office in St Ives for over 8 years and has expanded dramatically in this time, this was a wonderful opportunity for Mr Vara to view our operation in our high-tech facilities.”
