Shailesh Vara welcomes the news that Peterborough City Council has listened to his call for an extension to the Great Haddon development consultation.
Mr Vara backed residents’ calls for an extended consultation with the result that local people will now be able to make their views known to the local authority beyond the official end date of 25th March 2011.
Mr Vara said:
“Like many residents, I would prefer that this development did not take place at all. The period for the consultation is relatively short and I am therefore pleased that following a request from me the Council has agreed to continue listening to local residents after the official end of the consultation period.”
