Shailesh Vara, Member of Parliament for North West Cambridgeshire, visited the successful annual Needingworth Gardening Club Plant Sale on Saturday morning with Cllr Kevin Reynolds, St. Ives’ Councillor on Cambridgeshire County Council.

The event was a well-attended success with a large number of people coming to the village hall to purchase a variety of plants. Local people also took up the opportunity to speak with Mr Vara and Cllr Reynolds.

Mr Vara said:
“This is a popular local event and I was delighted to go along to lend my support. As usual, it was very well-attended and I continue to be amazed by the numbers present, which stretched to a queue outside the village hall before the doors opened.”

Cllr Reynolds also said:
“I was pleasantly surprised at the large numbers of villagers who came to the Sale, it was an excellent opportunity to meet with people and discuss both local and national issues. It was great to see Shailesh there, he is actively involved in all sections of the community and I very much look forward to his next visit.”
