Shailesh Vara, Member of Parliament for North West Cambridgeshire, opened the Warboys Primary School Summer Fete, cutting the ribbon to kick-start the annual event.

Mr Vara took scissors to the ribbon to open to summer fete which included stalls selling plants, home crafts, and homemade cakes, along with water-dunking, a bouncy castle and a BBQ. At this year’s fete the money raised will go towards replenishing the school’s IT suite.

Mr Vara said:

“I am delighted to be opening the summer fete at Warboys Primary School. It is always great to see so many parents, staff and pupils enjoying themselves at events like this. Events such as this take a lot of organisation and I congratulate all concerned for hard work.”

Mr Martin Kelsey, Headteacher, also said:

“The fete a longstanding well-attended annual event supported in the village, and we’re delighted and excited to have Shailesh here. This is a very important community event for building relationships and bringing people together to raise money for the School’s IT suite.”
