Vara supports Breast Cancer Now’s Wear it Pink campaign

Shailesh Vara MP has joined the Wear It Pink photo call to show his support for Breast Cancer Now and its life-saving research.

Breast Cancer Now’s Wear It Pink day is one of the biggest fundraising events in the UK. Taking place on 19th October 2018, it will see thousands of people adding a splash of pink to their outfit and raising much needed funds for breast cancer research.

Since the first event in 2002, Wear It Pink has raised over £31 million and Mr Vara is encouraging local people to fundraise in their homes, workplaces and schools to help continue to support Breast Cancer Now’s vital work.

Mr Vara said:

“Breast Cancer Now does great work every single day, striving to ensure that by 2050 everyone who develops breast cancer lives and lives well.

Wear It Pink is a great way to bring people together and have fun whilst raising money to help put a stop to this devastating disease.

Every year over 55,000 women and 350 men are diagnosed with Breast Cancer and I would encourage everyone who can to get involved and Wear It Pink too!”
