Vara visits North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust

Shailesh Vara MP met with Rob Hughes, Chairman of North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust along with Chief Executive, Caroline Walker. The meeting took place at Peterborough City Hospital and they discussed a number of issues relating to Hinchingbrooke and Peterborough City Hospital.

Following the visit Mr Vara said:

“This was a very useful meeting with Rob Hughes and Caroline Walker at which a number of important local health issues were discussed particularly concerning Hinchingbrooke and Peterborough City Hospital.

“Health remains an important issue for the general public and I welcomed the opportunity to convey some local concerns to Mr Hughes and Ms Walker.”

Rob Hughes added:

“As a Trust we really value meeting up with the local MP where we are able to discuss the work we do, our plans and our challenges.

“The meeting the Chief Executive and I had with Mr Shailesh Vara MP was very productive where we updated him on the integration of our hospitals, investment at Hinchingbrooke Hospital and progress of the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough STP. It was very much appreciated that he also took the time to meet with some of the staff on Ward A9.”
