Vara launches Care Network Initiative

Shailesh Vara will today launch the Care Network's Holywell-cum-Needingworth Good Neighbour Scheme.

Shailesh Vara, Member of Parliament for North West Cambridgeshire, will today launch the Care Network's Holywell-cum-Needingworth Good Neighbour Scheme.

Care Network is a local charity that initiates and supports good neighbour schemes - car & care schemes, luncheon clubs & mobile warden schemes. The charity works hard to protect the needs of the elderly, isolated and vulnerable across the county. The charity has 80 schemes in 70 communities across Cambridgeshire.

Mr Vara said:

"Care Network is an extremely important means of support for Cambridgeshire's most vulnerable. It is a valuable community programme that improves the quality of life of all the people it services."

"I am delighted to be launching this initiative for Care Network because their work is so valuable to so many people in Cambridgeshire."

The launch will take place at the Bowls Club, Overcote Lane, Needingworth at 5pm.
